🏆 Poker Stories – Kyle Finally Escapes the Shadow

For years, Maxem players have watched Kyle arrive at poker night with Kerri.

And for years, the rumours have persisted.

"That's not Kyle... that's Kerri's caddy."

"He carries the chips."

"He reads the greens."

"He's just here to hold the trophy while Kerri wins it."

Well, this week Kyle had something to say about that.

And he said it with a championship plaque.

The evening started much like a Sunday at Augusta. Kerri was drawing all the attention, the gallery was watching the favorites, and Kyle quietly wandered onto the course with little fanfare.

But somewhere around the turn, something changed.

While other players were slicing chips into the rough, three-putting monster hands, and finding water hazards where none seemed to exist, Kyle was calmly playing fairway-to-fairway poker.

No heroics.

No tantrums.

No broken clubs.

Just steady golf.

One player blasted all-in from the tee box and landed in the bunker.

Another found the river.

Then another found the river again.

Kyle simply nodded and took par.

Then birdie.

Then another birdie.

By the final table he wasn't carrying Kerri's bag anymore.

He was carrying the field.

As the last hand played out, witnesses report Kyle stood up, adjusted an imaginary golf glove, and announced:

"I'd like to thank Kerri for years of training. Watching what not to do has finally paid off."

Kerri immediately denied ever hearing such a statement.

When the final chip crossed the line, Kyle tapped in the winning putt and claimed the championship.

So congratulations to Kyle, this week's Maxem Poker Champion.

For one glorious night, he wasn't Kerri's caddy.

He wasn't second fiddle.

He wasn't the guy standing beside the champion.

He WAS the champion.

And somewhere in the parking lot, Kerri was reportedly asking:

"Can somebody carry my plaque?"

To which Kyle replied:

"Sorry. I'm retired from caddying." ⛳🏆😂

🏆 Poker Stories – Greg's AA Meeting

This week at Maxem Poker, bus driver Greg rolled into the station looking like any other passenger on the route.

Little did we know, he was about to board the Aces Express.

Now, longtime Simpsons fans will remember Otto's famous line:

"My name is Otto and I love to get blotto at AA meetings."

Well, Greg has his own version:

"My name is Greg, and I like to get Aces at poker meetings."

And unlike Otto, Greg actually showed up with proof.

As the cards were dealt, Greg looked down and saw the dream hand every poker player wants to see: AA — Pocket Rockets.

Witnesses report that at this exact moment he briefly forgot he was at a poker tournament and instinctively announced:

"Next stop... Victory Lane!"

The table groaned.

The poker gods groaned.

The bus passengers probably groaned somewhere too.

But Greg wasn't stopping.

With both Aces safely on board, he drove that hand smoother than a Saskatoon transit route on a sunny day. No speeding tickets. No detours. No missed connections.

A few players tried to put up a roadblock.

Others attempted a chip construction zone.

One player even tried a full poker U-turn.

Didn't matter.

Greg had the right-of-way.

When the dust settled, the chips were loaded, the fare was collected, and Greg parked himself in the winner's circle.

So congratulations to Greg, this week's Maxem Poker Champion.

AA in the streets. AA at the tables.

And remember folks...

If Greg asks for your chips, don't worry.

He's not getting blotto at AA meetings.

He's getting ACES. 🚌♠️♥️🏆

🎪🤡 STEP RIGHT UP! THE GREATEST POKER SHOW ON EARTH! 🤡🎪
Congratulations to this week's Maxem Poker Champion, Kevin!
Now, if you've ever sat at a table with Kevin, you'll know he's famous for his careful, calculated style. Every bet is measured. Every chip is accounted for. Every decision is based on odds, percentages, probability, stack sizes, position, and enough math to make a NASA engineer nervous.
At least... that's what Kevin would have you believe.
Meanwhile, the rest of the league is currently spraying coffee across their keyboards reading this, because Kevin is also the undisputed champion of:
🏆 Playing the most hands
🏆 Calling with the worst odds
🏆 Finding reasons why this hand is different
🏆 Turning "probably shouldn't" into "all-in!"
Yet somehow... it works.
In the final battle, Kevin squared off against Lana, one of the league's most disciplined and fundamentally sound players. Lana brought pocket 4's to the showdown. Kevin brought the mighty 2-3.
The poker gods looked down, laughed hysterically, and delivered Kevin a river card that completed two pair and sent the championship his way.
The crowd gasped.
The dealer checked the board twice.
Lana checked the board three times.
Kevin smiled like he knew it was coming all along.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, poker players of all ages...
Step right up and witness Kevin's Amazing Circus of Improbable Victories!
Where the odds don't matter...
The cards don't care...
And somehow the guy holding 2-3 walks away with all the chips.
🎪♠️ Congratulations Kevin, this week's Maxem Poker Champion! ♠️🎪

♠️🏆 PLUMBKRAZY DOES IT AGAIN! 🏆♠️

After capturing his second win of the season, Brian “PlumbKrazy” would like everyone to believe it was all part of a master plan.

According to the CDO of Maxem Poker, this victory was the result of:

cunning strategy,
elite-level poker instincts,
fearless aggression,
calculated reads,
and an unmatched ability to outplay and outlast the competition.

…Unfortunately, eyewitness accounts tell a slightly different story.

With several of the league’s heavy hitters missing from the weekly game, the poker gods apparently decided to personally es**rt Brian to victory lane by repeatedly slapping miracle cards directly into his forehead.

Desperate bluff?
River saves him.

Questionable call?
River saves him.

“All-in and probably dead?”
Cue another ridiculous river card.

At one point players were less concerned with Brian’s poker ability and more interested in checking whether he had secretly hired Evan the Wizard as a part-time consultant.

Still, credit where it’s due: when the chaos settled, the chips somehow ended up in front of PlumbKrazy once again.

Was it skill?
Was it luck?
Was it pure donkey-powered determination?

The answer is probably:
“Yes.”

🐴♠️ Congratulations to Brian “PlumbKrazy” — the Chief Donkey of Operations and now a TWO-TIME winner this season! ♠️🐴

🏁♠️ JOEL TAKES THE CHECKERED FLAG! ♠️🏁

This week’s Maxem champion was Joel, and much like a seasoned NASCAR driver, he proved that poker isn’t always about being the fastest out of the gate—it’s about knowing exactly when to hit the gas.

In the early laps, Joel drove a cautious race.

No reckless moves.
No unnecessary collisions.
Just smooth handling and careful chip management as he expertly avoided any damage to his stack while the rest of the field traded paint and spun out around him.

Then, as the game entered the final stretch, Joel found an extra gear.

The throttle went wide open.

Armed with his powerful Ace-King winning hand, Joel accelerated past the competition and left the rest of the table staring at his taillights as he raced to victory lane.

With this win, Joel has officially joined the elite, pulling into a tie with Karen for the season points lead and cementing his reputation as one of Maxem Poker’s top drivers.

🏎️ Congratulations Joel!
You paced yourself perfectly, avoided the wrecks, and when the time was right, you stepped on the gas and took the checkered flag! 🏁♠️

Before I disappeared into the poker wilderness, many had begun to wonder if PlumbKrazy was more myth than man.

Had he retired?
Lost his touch?
Run out of lucky hoodies?

Not a chance.

Last week, Brian—better known at the tables as PlumbKrazy, the Chief Donkey of Operations (CDO) of Maxem Poker—staged one of the most improbable comebacks in league history.

The night began with disaster. Pocket Queens looked promising until half the table called his raises and sent him reeling. With his stack dwindling and dignity in question, the CDO did what any seasoned executive would do:

He outsourced.

He borrowed Wheels’ famous “Wheel ’Em and Deal ’Em” strategy.
He unleashed the sacred art of Seven-Deucing, bluffing on the river with the worst hand in poker.
At the final table, down to two measly chips, he channeled Bill and folded tighter than a bank vault.
Forced all-in from the big blind, he survived.
Short-stacked again, he summoned Evan’s wizardry and called for an unlikely river card—which, of course, appeared on command.
Then, heads-up against Vincent, he followed Darryl’s timeless heads up advice: “Just ship it.”

Cards? Questionable.
Logic? Optional.
Confidence? Unlimited.

Somehow, those two lonely chips multiplied until every last chip on the table belonged to the CDO.

In the end, this victory perfectly captured what makes Maxem Poker special: every player brings their own unique style, and on this night Brian borrowed a little bit of everyone’s magic to engineer a championship comeback.

👑♠️ Congratulations Brian “PlumbKrazy” — Chief Donkey of Operations and this week’s Maxem Poker Champion! ♠️👑

♠️🏆 SIMON SAYS… PASS ME THE CHIPS! 🏆♠️

Last week at Maxem, it wasn’t just poker…
it was a full-on game of Simon Says.

And if you’ve ever played, you already know—
you better listen carefully.

Because when Simon says bet… chips went in.
When Simon says call… stacks followed.
And when Simon says pass me the chips…

Well… you didn’t really have a choice.

Hand after hand, players thought they were making their own decisions… but somehow, some way, it always ended the same—chips sliding across the felt toward Simon like they got the memo before everyone else did.

A little patience.
A little pressure.
And a whole lot of “how did that just happen?”

By the end of the night, the only rule that mattered was clear:

👉 If Simon says it… it’s probably happening.

Congrats Simon on a commanding win—
and to the rest of the table… better luck next time not following instructions. 😄♠️

Season 56 kicked off with a bang… and it didn’t take long for the table to realize there was a fox in the coop.

Kaisayla came in cool, confident, and smiling—but make no mistake, behind that calm exterior was a player ready to pounce. One by one, the table tried their luck, thinking they could sneak a few chips her way… but every time the money went in, somehow her cards told the better story.

Like a true fox among chickens, she let the table get comfortable—maybe even a little hopeful—before snapping up pot after pot. Big hands, clutch moments, and perfect timing… it all added up to a dominant performance in the very first game of the new season.

Not to be outdone by last week’s champion Evan, it looks like the magic might run in the household—but this week, it was all about the Fox.

First game. First win.
And if this is how she starts the season… the rest of the table might want to keep their heads on a swivel. 🦊♠️

Congrats Evan: The Wizard of the River
Season 55 wrapped up with a little bit of magic… and a whole lot of chips heading in one direction.
Evan took down the championship in a way that felt less like poker and more like a performance. Around the table, players were grinding, picking spots, and trying to build stacks the traditional way… while Evan was out there casting spells. Big pots? His. Close calls? Somehow his too. And just when you thought he might finally be in trouble, he’d calmly call his shot—naming the exact card he needed—only to watch it appear on the river like he had a direct line to the deck.
While most players chip away one hand at a time, Evan has a different approach… he clears the table in chunks. When the pressure is highest and the field gets short, that’s when the “wizardry” really kicks in—multiple players falling in a single hand while Evan stacks chips like he’s been there a hundred times before.
A well-earned Season 55 Championship for a player who made the improbable look routine.
New season starts tonight… and after what we just witnessed, you have to wonder—who’s ready to take on the wizard? 🃏✨
