UPDATE

We want to sincerely thank everyone who shared our post, sent messages and provided information. The support from our community was incredible, and because of your help, we were able to identify the individuals involved.

Their names have been provided to us and they have been contacted directly. Unfortunately, no payment has been made at this time.

We also want to clarify that our decision to make the original post was not only about recovering our own loss. We felt it was important to make the public — and especially our fellow local businesses — aware of what had occurred. No business should have to absorb the cost of this type of behaviour, and if sharing our experience helps prevent another business in our city from being affected, then speaking up was worthwhile.

Now that we have the information we were looking for, we will be removing the original post. Removing it does not mean the matter has been resolved. The information has been forwarded to the authorities.

Thank you again to everyone who reached out, shared information and supported us. We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that looks out for one another. ❤️
