A Night of White. Saturday September 5.

Dress in white, head to toe. Laser Head in the booth all night.

All drinks $5.50 all night. Doors at 9, 18+ with valid ID.

The last big Saturday before fall properly sets in. Wear white, bring your people, and let the lights do the rest.

September is booked. Here's the whole month.

Sat Sep 5 — A Night of White. Dress in white, all of it. Laser Head, all night.

Sat Sep 12 — Rich Glow. Four on the floor, glow in the dark. Body painting, vendors and displays, with Laser Head opening.

Sat Sep 19 — Y2K Night. Dress like it's 1999. Midnight, the system crashes. Trav-S in the booth.

Fri Sep 25 — Latin Night. Reggaeton, salsa, and no excuses. DJ Katastrof.

Sat Sep 26 — Red Flag Party. Everyone's got one, write yours at the door. Jonny Majik.

Doors at 9 every night, 18+ with valid ID. Five nights, and not one of them is a quiet one.

School is back, and I have prepared a curriculum.

BACK2SCHOOL BASH. Saturday August 29. Back to back all night with DJ Majik and Laser Head, doors at 9, 18+.

The syllabus is short. Bring an HP #2 pencil and you're entered into the draw. Bring a school supply donation and you get another entry, because somewhere in this city there's a kid who needs a backpack more than I need another clock. Arrive before 10 for VIP drink pricing.

I have been watching students come back to this town for years. They always look so serious in September. Give it one Saturday and the whole city remembers how to have fun again.

Attendance is not mandatory. It is just strongly encouraged by the building.

We're hiring.

Madhatters is holding a hiring fair on Tuesday, September 1, from 3 to 6 PM. Come by, meet the team, see the room, and apply in person.

Open roles: bartenders, barbacks, and coat check. ProServe required for bartenders.

Bring a resume if you've got one ready. If you can't make it out that day, email your resume to [email protected] and we'll get it in front of the right people.

Good crew, busy weekends, and one of the better rooms in the city to work in. Come say hi.

The building has a website now. I resisted for as long as I could.

Everything lives there. What's coming up, who's in the booth, the room itself, and how to get hold of us for a private booking or a birthday you'd rather not host in someone's basement. No sign-ins, no scrolling past forty things you did not want to see. Just the nights, laid out plainly.

I have been telling people what happens in here for a while now. Turns out a screen holds more than I can. It still cannot hold the sound, or the lights, or the specific look on somebody's face at 1am, but it can tell you exactly when to be here for it.

Go look. Then come see it for real.

Tomorrow night the closets of Red Deer get the evening off.

Anything But Clothes. Trav-S in the booth. Doors at 9. Best outfit wins, and I have seen the early rumours, somebody is coming as a disco ball and somebody else has been hoarding red solo cups for a week. The bar is high and it is made of duct tape.

Final reminders: if it came from a closet it does not count, if it needs repairs mid-night we have tape, and courage is the only thing on the dress code that is mandatory.

One more sleep. The floor is ready. The lights are ready. The kettle is on.

The booth has been claimed for Friday & Saturday.

Trav-S runs the night, and he has been told about the dress code. He asked if the rule applies to DJs. I said the booth has standards. He is wearing clothes. You are not required to.

Anything But Clothes, Saturday August 22, doors at 9. Caution tape, garbage bags, duct tape, cardboard, bubble wrap, whatever your garage is willing to sacrifice. If it came from a closet it does not count.

Two days to build something ridiculous. The floor is already placing bets.
