The Thirsty Moose Pub is operated by the Northern Undergraduate Student Society (NUGSS) and is located in the NUSC Building at UNBC. The Thirsty Moose provides affordable food and beverage options to students including a variety of locally sourced products. Most of the Thirsty Moose team are UNBC students - check the official website for updates on available positions. We are opening with reduced hours next week while we continue working through some items.

We're taking part in the semi-annual NUGSS Pancake Breakfast on Wednesday, September 16, from 9 to 11 am in the NUSC event space (right beside us).

We will open on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 16 & 17) from 4 to 9 pm.

Friday, September 18, we will open from 4 to 11 pm. The UNBC Fisheries Club has a ticketed event from 7 to 11 pm on Friday evening. This is a 19+ event.

Saturday, Sept. 19, we are open from 8 pm to 12 am.

We will be offering a limited food menu during the posted hours. This will not be our full menu, but we will have some bites available. We thank you for your patience during this time.

We are excited to offer a low-key, relaxing, and potentially fun (if you like the movie choice) early evening event on Tuesdays. Join us for Movie Nights, completely free and open to all ages, following the regular ID requirements.

Movie nights begin Tuesday, September 22 and will take place most Tuesdays for the fall semester. Movies begin around 5:15 p.m., and we will show a different movie each week. (Excludes October 13)

Check our weekly hours post for the movie being played that week. We would love your feedback on movie options and will do our best to add them to the list when possible. (We do have licensing requirements to follow, so not every movie is available)

Our regular fall hours are set, BUT we are seasonal and have several new staff joining us this year.

We will have modified hours for the first two weeks after Labour Day as we get going this year, please watch our socials. After that, we will follow the regular hours posted below.

Welcome to our beautiful Prince George campus, new students and families moving in this September.

From 2 to 7 pm on Fri. Sept 4, the Thirsty Moose Pub, your on-campus, student-owned pub, is open for families to come in, relax, play some games, and raise a glass of your favourite beverage. Our pub is open to all ages during this time.

NUGSS, your undergraduate student society, will be on-site to answer any questions you may have about locker rentals, the Health & Dental Plan, and other services. Come ask your questions in a relaxed setting, where you can meet some Board members and staff and get familiar with your student society.

Happy August to everyone! We are starting to get ready to reopen in September, and we need to hire more servers.

This is an on-campus, seasonal job with flexible hours, located at UNBC. Great for a student, but not required. We provide a friendly and fun environment with staff discounts at the pub and Degrees.

Happy May to everyone! We are currently closed for the summer, but we will reopen one more day this month on Convocation Day.

We are open 11 am to 2:30 pm on Friday, May 29, to welcome families, friends, faculty, and staff. We look forward to seeing many happy, smiling faces and extend warm congratulations to everyone who is graduating this year!

After this special day, watch our socials for reopening dates and updates, which will be announced during August.
