Yesterday was Nikki’s last shift at 211, and honestly, this one is a little hard to write. ❤️
For over 10 years, Nikki has been a huge part of our team and our story. She’s been here through busy summers, crazy weekends, menu changes, renovations, and just about everything else this industry can throw at you.
Over the years, she’s done so much more than simply show up for her shifts. She’s helped make 211 better. She’s supported her coworkers, built relationships with our guests, stepped up when things got tough, and has been someone we’ve always been able to count on.
While we’re incredibly sad to see her go, we’re also so excited for her as she begins the next chapter of her journey pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education. Anyone who knows Nikki knows she has a huge heart, endless patience, and a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for. Those little ones are going to be very lucky to have her.
On a personal note, Nikki has become more than a coworker over the years. She’s become family. Her friendship, loyalty, humour, and support have meant more than words can say, and we’re so grateful for everything she’s given to 211 throughout the last decade.
From all of us at 211, thank you, Nikki. Thank you for the years, the laughs, the hard work, and the memories.
We’re going to miss you around here, but we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. ❤️
