So my wife and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this weekend. Is it coincidence that I get married right after the closure of the Pig's Ear? Probably not, LOL!
Anyhow, I found myself on another PIGGY PATIO this weekend in the great town of Kingston, ON. The venue is CHEZ PIGGY and they definitely have their A-Game in terms of food! We sat on their cute little patio and ate salmon and gnocchi with s couple of pints. Unfortunately
NO LABATT'S 50, but the Beau's Pale Ale and radler were equally satisfying. They even had their fair share of Piggy-related graffiti near the washrooms! On the way out we checked out their merchandise wall (caps, shirts, etc.), and while they weren't printed at Nish Tees they had quite an impressive selection. Even had the beginnings of a Piggy Paraphernalia collection...!

I am rating this restaurant 4.5 out of 5 snouts, with a 0.5 snout loss for not having 50!

If you are like me, you still have a little place in your heart for our beloved Pig's Ear Tavern. Do yourself a favour the next time you're in K-Town and have a meal at Chez Piggy, you won't be disappointed (unless you're craving a 50!).

It has been 2 years (almost to the day) that we said goodbye to our neighbourhood haunt and all-around good-times hangout, the Pig's Ear Tavern 😢

The cover photo for this page is my shrine to the Piggy. I have heard of a few others that have similar homages and I would love to see them. Post em if ya got em!

I will get the nostalgia train rolling with this Spotify playlist that I have comprised that has a lot of the old juke box songs on it. Some good, some bad. If you have Spotify subscription you can edit tracks by selecting all songs, and pasting them into a new playlist. I know many of these song entries will be accompanied by an eye roll and a skip, but I hope you'll enjoy and add missing tracks in the comments...!

A dusty collection of Jukebox tunes from back when they had the old juke box. Not that stupid new one that was a glorified iPod... The old one had real CDs! Many of which drove us nuts from overplay...! Now I miss them all together...
