Expect extra traffic in Petawawa this weekend as the Taste of the Valley event will take over the Petawawa Civic Centre on Saturday 10am to 3pm. Parking for the event is in the back of the Civic Centre near the dog park and over 100 vendors are expected.

Town of Petawawa Economic Development staff are attending the Ontario East Municipal Conference in Ottawa today.

The opening panel is focusing on the defence sector and impacts to the local economy. Lieutenant-Colonel JoeTobin, deputy commander of the 4th Canadian Division Support Group at CFB Petawawa is one of the panelists.

Conversations are surrounding opportunities for businesses, local contractors, trades, supply chain and foreign direct investment.
