Tazz has spent more than 30 years making people laugh across Canada and beyond, while also being a passionate advocate for mental health and using comedy to help break down the stigma around talking about it.

So yes… mental health is important.

Chad VanGaalen is bringing his wonderfully weird, wildly creative musical universe to The HUB, with special guest Jairus Sharif along for the ride.

A self-taught saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Jairus brings together improvisation, electronics, folk traditions, sound collage and some very unconventional musical tools to create something entirely his own.

Put the two together and you've got an evening that's imaginative, unpredictable, and definitely a little outside the lines.

If you haven’t put The Melawmen Collective on your October calendar yet, consider this your sign.

On Sunday, October 18, we’re welcoming this incredible collective to The HUB for an evening of contemporary Indigenous fusion, powerful storytelling, rich harmonies, hip hop, rock/folk and righteous rhymes.

But it’s more than a sound.

‘Melawmen’ means medicine in the Secwepemc language, and their music draws on intergenerational stories, culture, pain, healing, experience and vision — brought together through creativity, collaboration and connection.

It’s soulful. It’s powerful. It’s deeply rooted. And it’s something you really need to experience live.
