I had the pleasure of attending the Golden Chari Tea at Poplar Grove, where the announcement was made of a generous donation for a fetal heart monitor to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation.

This meaningful contribution was made possible through the charitable efforts of East Meets West, founded by the owner of Barley Mill Brew Pub, and is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when local businesses, community organizations, healthcare advocates, and residents come together in support of a common cause.

The event highlighted the incredible spirit of collaboration and generosity that exists throughout our community. It was inspiring to see so many individuals and organizations united in their commitment to improving healthcare resources for local families and ensuring that vital medical equipment is available close to home.

A heartfelt thank you to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation, Poplar Grove, the event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, attendees and all those who contributed to making this initiative possible.
