🍳 Fried Egg Poppy Season! ✨

These beauties come out every year and they are absolutely stunning. Known scientifically as Romneya coulteri (and commonly as the Matilija Poppy or fried egg poppy), these massive blooms look exactly like a perfectly poached or fried egg sitting on crinkled white paper!

Here is why we love them:

🌼 Crinkly white petals that look like crepe paper.

💛 A bright, golden-yellow center that pops in the summer sun.

🌱 A hardy, dramatic perennial that makes a huge statement.

Our Scotch Eggs look a little different these days!

While we used to serve them cold, they’re now served hot and fresh from the fryer with a perfectly crispy exterior and a soft, jammy egg inside. Served with a side of our house-made garlic confit aioli for dipping.

We think it’s a big improvement, but don’t just take our word for it—come in and try one for yourself!
