Even though The Corral has been closed for some time… The Corral family is still very much in tact, that is why the family of Alice Kelly-Campbell has asked me to notify everyone of her passing.
Alice passed away Tuesday night December 28th. She made it to her 55th Birthday on the 22nd and made it through Christmas with her children Jenna and Taylor who did an amazing yet exhausting job of taking care of their Mom this last year. Her lifelong friendship with Stan Campbell and the father of their children stayed a true friend to her to the end. Stan is also part of our family from being on the security team. Anyone who knew Alice also knew of her love for another one of our own on the security team Jay Wilson that we lost and passed in August 2014.
Alice was a fighter and battled MS for many years, and we know now that she no longer suffers and is in peace with Jay.
The Corral family and customers meant so much to Alice and she came to know and care for many of us and stayed a part of our family after Jay passed.
Our deepest condolences to her children Jenna and Taylor, their father Stan and their families and many friends.

It is with sadness that we post this in remembrance to our long time friend & Co-Worker Doug Deveaux. A talented man with a great sense of humour and renowned in the industry. Doug is known for his own musical talent as an artist as well as his commitment to his craft of Audio / Sound Engineer with his business Sideman Studio. Any musician or any act that played or performed at The Corral in the last 35 years has had their sound checks and performance handled by Doug, and he made all of them sound amazing in our room!. I cannot remember a night while I was there that he couldn’t get us through the night. Gone way to soon, and will be fondly remembered by many. Our deepest condolences to Angelle, Brandon and families.

This is a very tough time.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closing of The Corral due to COVID-19. After an amazing 37 year run, the pandemic as well as exorbitant insurance costs have forced us to make this difficult decision.

The Corral has been as much of a home as a bar to many. People have met and married here. Artists have started their career here. We’ve been blessed to have performers such as Terri Clark, Johnny Reid, Emerson Drive, James Barker Band, Shane Yellowbird, Jason McCoy & the Road Hammers, Crystal Shawanda, The Wilkinson’s and many many more.

We want to thank all those that have called The Corral their place to hang. We are going to miss seeing all the happy faces of our regulars, our loyal staff as well as all of the wonderful talented musicians that have performed here. It is indeed the end of an era.

Cindy and I are sad that we are closing, but we are happy that we were able to be a part of this. We wish you all the best, and want to say what everybody else has said this year... 2020 sucks!
