Our Story
Carthew Bay Pub & Scoops on the Bay -- for more than 65 years there has been some sort of Ice Cream Stand, or General Store at the corner of the 14th Concession and Lakeshore Road. In the 1950's cottagers would walk to the location for hand scooped ice cream, as they do now. We have heard stories of the days of Soda Fountains and Floats. The building itself has been a business as well as a home to the many families that have run it over the years. With each new owner, came changes. The latest change has been the addition of a liquor license, hence the name change. The Pub will offer the same great service and will be expanding the menu, as time goes on. We will still offer our homemade soups and chili during the colder months. Rest assured, there will still be hand scooped ice cream, and plenty of it.
