If you are seeing people crouching in vineyards, peering at vines and taking notes, it is crop estimate season! Cellar and vineyard teams are counting these tiny, fragile, baby grape clusters. This allows us to form some kind of picture of our crop volume for the year and tells the winemaker how many tons of grapes will be coming at her in the fall.
