Time for some more memories... throwing it far back today! Remember in 2008 we moved from 1 day to Friday night and Saturday. This was the year of the big rain on Saturday. As you may recall we had Jason Blaine and The Wilkinsons on Friday night and then Greg Hanna, Jessie Farrell, Shane Yellowbird, Ronnie Prophet and George Canyon on Saturday! It poured rain overnight Friday. Saturday started out okay and then the rain started just after Jessie finished. It was relentless for the rest of the day with Shane and Ronnie both playing our little wooden side stage! George Canyon and his band came out to play despite the pouring rain and put on one hell of a performance! Country fans are die hard fans.

Thank you everyone for your understanding with the difficult announcement yesterday. We are so proud to have been involved in creating such incredible memories for people! Time now to share some of those memories of our MCF family! Feel free to share your memories as well in the comments below ⬇️.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the end of RTR (Rockin’ The Rock) and MCF (Manitoulin Country Fest). After a significant health scare, Craig and KT have come to the very difficult decision to shut down the festivals. “We have worked towards having another team take over these events, unfortunately, that didn’t come to pass. Simply put, we don’t have anyone to take over the events and we cannot take on the pressure of delivering them anymore” said KT. “We cannot even begin to express our level of thanks for our staff and friends, our incredible volunteers, Manitoulin Transport and the rest of the sponsors who supported us over the years, the artists who made the journey and of course, our patrons! We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mike Mantha, Carol Hughes and the provincial and federal governments who supported our events over the years. We only hope the provincial and federal governments realize the importance of supporting events in Northern Ontario!

MCF started in 2007 and RTR 2018 and we even managed to recover from the pandemic with festivals in 2022 and 2023. We have had opportunity to see hundreds of amazing artists take our stage. The intent was to see incredible talent on Manitoulin. I guess we delivered!

Refunds will be honoured for tickets directly through Eventbrite. Go online to Eventbrite to request your refund.

For those with camping spots, please email [email protected] to trigger your full refund via etransfer before JUNE 1ST, 2024. We ask that you email us versus calling us. It is going to be a very busy, sad and stressful time. Your understanding here is appreciated.

Again, thank you so much for your patronage and support over the years. We will miss you all and hope to see you down the road.

MCF lost one of our "family" with the passing of Val Lavallee, one of our dedicated volunteers. Val will always be remembered for her big smile and even bigger heart. The community at large will all miss her spirit. She can now rejoin the love of her life, husband Dave, whom she has missed immensely. Thank you for all you did for us Val. We will miss you.
