Only 1 week left to get your Paella fix!!
The story of BARBEA was born years ago - Pre-COVID even! We wanted to bring a taste of Spain to NOTL and incorporate traditional small plates and tapas with a unique wine bar experience. BARBEA was a success! But with rising costs it’s becoming more and more challenging to run two separate restaurants. We have made the sad decision to close BARBEA. But out of the ashes comes something new!! A phoenix is born! Ruffino’s will be assuming the space and adding a little Italian to the region - well maybe a lot! We will be introducing a new antipasti menu featuring more bar snacks, including pizzas and mozzarella sticks all served alongside your Ruffino’s favourites! It’s the little Italian bar you wished was just around the corner and now is! Stop by for some of your favourite Ruffino’s snacks and pizza in the new space! See you at BAR RUFFINO!! Our projected opening is early April. We will close for a few days to do some little rennnovations in both Ruffino’s and the new bar to make it feel a little more like Nona’s house! Our goal is to make our new bar feel comfortable, warm and welcoming. Giving locals and visitors another option for some lunchtime snacks, after work tipples or some dinner and late night beverages!! The bar will still be focused on local and international wines, cocktails and beers, but with a more approachable Italian flare to the snacks! Our wine shop will continue to offer you unique selections from around the globe not available at the LCBO. We can’t wait to see what Chef Em will bring to the table!
