Stop by Cat's for our famous Nachos

Nachos are believed to have been created by Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya. Ignacio Anaya was a Mexican maรฎtre d'hรดtel at a restaurant called the Victory Club in Piedras Negras, a town near the Texas border in Mexico.

The story goes that in 1943, a group of U.S. military wives visited the Victory Club when it was unusually busy. Anaya, looking to prepare a quick and simple snack for the ladies, improvised by melting some cheese over tortilla chips and adding jalapeรฑo peppers. He named this new creation "Nachos Especiales" after his own nickname, "Nacho."
