“Lover of all things musical, theatrical, and dramatic, Laurel is a real-life Bard, bringing her passion for the arts to all of her tables.
As a neurodivergent person herself, she loves how D&D can help folks of all ages have fun *and* learn important skills and lessons.
Her dream is to one day practice psychotherapy using D&D as a tool.
While not DMing, Laurel studies psychology, music, and languages.
She lives in Kitchener with her partner Kenji and their cats, Freyja and Sinon.”

Meet the team🤝

This is Mariam, one of our new Newmarket DMs!

She became obsessed with D&D many years ago, started researching, and DMing, and gained a reputation at her university as a woman who was incredibly excited to try to get other women and newbies into this delightfully nerdy hobby.

If you love playing with the mysticism of things much bigger and more mysterious than you, uncovering mysteries of the universe, and seeing our own world reflected in a fun-house mirror of mysticism and magic, Mariam would love for you to join her in as many adventures as your heart desires!

She adores introducing newbies to the format, helping people flesh out character backstories that weave into the plot, and making everyone feel like they have a special secret to bring to the table.

Mariam is the DM who will be running our new women-only campaigns. Go to dndclub.ca/adults to sign up for her games!
