La soirée a rencontré un grand succès; la programmation est souvent fixée quelque mois à l'avance, et en général le publique est nombreux et décontracté. La soirée est une vraie célébration du talent de Montréal et d'ailleurs. Les numéros présentés peuvent aller de la perfo

rmance solo à des représentations de groupes, tous centrés sur la voix féminine, et l'atmosphère intime génère des performances qui sont uniques et sincère. Votre hôstesse est Aly Marguerite et son groupe Old Time Honey. Dans les rues jusqu'au cirque, le style musical d'Aly est romantique et remplis des sons folk d'une temps oubliés, une mélange qui créer un son original qui est lourd de nostalgie. ENG: Chick Pickin' Mondays was created almost 14 years ago by Cecile Doo Kingue and Grumpy's barman Gern f. with the idea of show casing female talent from Montreal, Canada and parts far flung. The night has become a huge success the roster often being booked months in advance, the crowds are generally large and laid back. The evening is a true celebration of Montreal's musical talent as well as the rest of the worlds. Acts range from solo musicians to groups all with the Female voice as it's center, the intimate atmosphere generating performances that are unique and heart felt.

Hey Chick Pickin' family, it looks like it's time to start thinking about live events again! We have some options as to how we can move forward with this event. I know it's been hosted at the same bar at the same time for years and years now, but a large majority of the artists expressed that they did not feel comfortable with the noise level. In my opinion, 10pm-midnight on a Monday is just not a good time slot, so I laid out a few options in this poll - please fill it out and let me know what you think, and thank you

It's the one year anniversary of the first Chick Pickin' Mondays Live Music Video Series launch!!!! This song written by Marie Hamilton Music gives me goosebumps. This song so perfectly incapsulated our complex array of emotions during the first winter months of the pandemic.
