After a couple weeks of touring the east coast, Hestiaa and Ella are back in town and we were honoured to host them on our stage last night. Their intensity and highflying harmonies are always amazing but they’ve come back from the road sounding more polished and locked in than ever. If you can believe it.

They’ll be a the Highland Games today in Glengarry - if you’re there, you won’t want to miss them.

Après une couple de semaines en tournée dans la côte de l’est Hestiaa et Ella sont de retour à Montréal. On était très honoré de les recevoir hier soir sur notre scène. Leur intensité et harmonies étincelantes sont toujours incroyables mais après la tournée elles sont encore plus brillante et synchroniser que jamais. Si on peut le croire.

Elles seront au jeux des Highlands à Glengarry aujourd’hui, si vous êtes là, elles sont incontournables.

Quick, Andrew’s on vacation let’s make a sentimental post about how much we love him and how important he is to the pub, it’s regulars and staff alike.

As demonstrated here, the man wears many hats both literally and figuratively. If you’ve been to Hurley’s over the last 20 or so years, the chances are high that you’ve at least had a pint pulled by this finest of fellows if you haven’t been lucky enough to chat with him. He’s part of an old guard of bartenders that don’t necessarily exist as abundantly as they used to. He’s of the ilk that always asks you your name when starting your tab and whether you return the very next night or a year or two later on your next trip to Montreal, by god he’ll remember it.

You’ll often see him in his power stance of choice, (one leg up on the bar rail, one arm hanging off the upper liquor shelf - iykyk.) revelling in each conversation with customers new and old, making everyone feel welcome at the pub.

As generous as he is with his time conversationally, you can also always count on him to have that drink you ordered in front of you with extreme efficiency, whether the Habs just won a playoff game at the bell centre, or Genesis came around on a reunion tour, or a conference of industrial farmers from the American Midwest just let out of a nearby hotel and are thirstier than their fields in a drought.

The pub truly wouldn’t be the same without you, Turbo. Thanks for everything you do. We hope you’re having a great vacation, try not to come back too burnt from the swim up bar.

Tasha, ever the expert in churning out salads that are never boring has brought us another hit!

Come try our new special, a creamy lemon and poppy salad featuring, cabbage, carrots, dried cranberries and mint with a poppy seed garnish.

Imagine a nice tangy coleslaw, wearing a three piece suit.

Voici la nouvelle spéciale, un salad crémeux au citron et pavots avec choux, carottes, canneberges séchées et menthe, garnis de grains de pavots.

Imaginez une salade de choux comme le resto de BBQ, mais celle-là porte un costume à trois pièces.

Our pals from Toronto, Kensington Unplugged are once again making the pilgrimage to our fair city this coming weekend! They’ll be organizing another edition of their Nashville-Style songwriter’s round this Sunday July 26th, on our second floor stage.

It all kicks off at 7 pm - don’t miss your chance to discover some amazing songwriters from both cities in a night of all original music!
