This Montreal eatery, conveniently accessible yet intriguingly discreet, demands a visit to uncover what lies beyond its doors.
The offerings at Galaxie are a testament to the thoughtful assembly of Italian cuisines that speak to the connoisseur's heart. While the variety in beverages is commendable, the food menu, with its few select dishes, paints with a limited palette, inviting patrons to savor each stroke of culinary artistry.
💸Pricing was higher than the overall experience.
🍸The restaurant had a good selection of drinks, cocktails, and a few mocktails with food and desserts.
🕑The waiting line was short (no waiting line if reserved)
👠The atmosphere is classic, with an old European ambiance
💳All types of payment methods are accepted
👨‍🦳I would not recommend Galaxie for people who prefer budget-friendly places. Also, the majority of the crowd was older.

Terrace Carla - $$$

Terrace Carla is conveniently situated near Place d’Armes Metro Station, making it easily accessible. Nestled at the end of Chinatown, it boasts a welcoming rooftop ambiance with enjoyable music and delectable food and cocktails, adhering to a classy-casual dress code. However, while the setting is inviting, it lacks a significant city view. The dining experience is marred by inconsistent customer service, requiring constant reminders for orders, and a somewhat unfriendly staff.

The unique DJ setup, placed across the restaurant, disrupts the flow and viewing experience, making it challenging to enjoy both the cityscape and the music simultaneously. While Terrace Carla offers a pleasant experience, it leans towards the pricier side of dining options in Montreal, which may not align with every budget.

Step in, and you’ll be greeted by a choice of indoor or outdoor seating (not during the winter), and the friendly staff will show you to your spot. No need to fret about long waits; they’ve got their act together. The menus are packed with deliciousness, and the staff is ever-ready to answer your menu-related questions with a smile. The vibe is super trendy, and with a playlist of hit pop songs, it’s nothing but good times.
