This was probably the last time Fluffy, chi, stag, Vandingo & others from the old gang were at the track together,.. The Prix D'Éte the TOP stake race at Blue Bonnets.
This Accident seems to have spelled out what was in store for horse racing in QUEBEC. Three years latter a Major Strike, Campeau Corp. the owners of Blue Bonnets went belly up,... so in comes the Government,...the rest is history,.. U2
is scheduled to do there show on the old BLUE BONNETS SITE next Summer.

Bad accident in the Prix D'Ete at Blue Bonnet Raceway in 1987. Watch the head-on shot as they go down the backstretch- I believe that is Banker Blue Chip. John Campbell was thrown over the rail in the first turn.
