Thanks to the Greater Moncton Sunrise Rotary Club for joining us at Igloo this morning. Great people, great conversations, and always a pleasure having you! 🙌

We were very pleased to have two special guests at this morning's weekly meeting at L'Igloo Pub and Steakhouse! First - Vernon Doucet - who's well known as a social media influencer in the Greater Moncton area, especially, joined us as our guest speaker. Mostly everyone has seen Vernon's feel-good videos promoting positive things about our area - especially his food reviews. Vernon spoke to us about his videos and about some of his plans for them for the future! Vernon also helps Krista Richard in her Bikes and Trikes for Everyone program, which we support wholeheartedly! We were also pleased to welcome back Kenn Mainville who spoke to us recently in his capacity as President and CEO of Sistema New Brunswick - Sistema Nouveau-Brunswick. Kenn was back today as a potential member. We hope to see you again, Kenn! Thanks to both Vernon and Kenn for attending our meeting!

🎶 Thursday Jam Night @ Igloo Pub & Steakhouse 🎶

This week's feature is The Astonished!

The Astonished are a four-piece rock band from Moncton bringing together their different styles and influences for a high-energy mix of cover songs and original material.

After spending the last few years dialing in their sound, they're ready to bring it to the Thursday Jam stage!

The band features:
🎤 Pat Power – Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
🎸 Gregg Murray – Lead Guitar
🥁 Tyler Power – Drums
🎤 Darrel McLaughlin – Vocals & Bass

You might recognize Darrel as a regular at our Thursday jams, and Pat, Gregg and Tyler have joined us at the jam as well. It's always great seeing musicians from the jam community put something together and step into the feature spot!

This week's feature is Containment!

Coming out of Moncton, Containment started playing music together in high school simply for the fun of it, and now they're ready to show us what they can do!

Inspired by bands like Nirvana, Green Day and Crowbar, they bring a mix of grunge, heavy rock and punk with plenty of energy.

Come out early, make some noise for these guys, and catch their feature set before we open up the stage for the jam!

And as Containment says, if you're planning on throwing tomatoes... apparently potatoes are cheaper and tastier. 🥔😂
