In 1913, the Medicine Hat Brewing Company began serving old fashioned lager, ale and stout to our city’s early, thirsty residents. It’s hot and dry here and we all know how a good beer can cool you off after a hard day’s work. When the Temperance Movement picked up, this popular brewery - One of Medicine Hat’s first - was forced to close. Over a century later, the Medicine Hat Brewing Company name has been dusted off and again serves thirsty, hard-working Hatters Timeless Craft Beer. We promise our beer is as delicious as ever. This Saturday, MH Brewco goes full Oktoberfest. 🍻

Doors open at 11am and run until we sell out, so come early. German food menu, new cocktails, happy hour pricing on German beers all day, German beer buckets, and beer tower specials. Come hungry, come thirsty, come ready for a good time.

Pick up one of this year's hand-made steins ($60, yours to keep) and your first fill is just $4, with a portion of every stein sale going to the Sanare Centre's brand new therapy dog, Jackson.

🎄Your company Christmas party doesn't have to be another thing on your to-do list.

We've got the room, the food, and the bar to make it easy. Book our private events room for up to 50 guests, or take over the whole taproom for groups up to 100. Add a catering package if you want the food handled too, and don't worry, our full-service bar covers way more than beer. (Yes, we get asked that a lot. We've got wine, cocktails, and everything in between.)

November and December dates are already starting to fill up, so if your team's holiday party needs a home this year, now's the time to lock it in.

Who's that girl? 👀

She's back, she's golden, and she's got German hops running through her veins.

Golden Girl Pilsner made her debut this spring for International Women's Day in support of the Pink Boots Society, and honestly, you all loved her too much to let her go. So she's returning just in time for Oktoberfest.

Sweet, rich malt. Traditional German hops. A crisp, dry finish that has you reaching for sip after sip after sip.

And she's still doing good while she's at it. Proceeds go toward the Pink Boots Society Canada mission of empowering and educating women and non-binary people in the fermented beverage industry.

Grab her in cans, on tap, or picked up as a keg. Available in the taproom and select liquor stores.

THIS is going to be amazing. 🎶

Thirsty Third Thursday is back, and this month we're welcoming Michael Carson to the stage.

This guy has been at it for over 30 years, and it shows. He's a solo acoustic artist who can shift into literally any genre you throw at him, no exceptions. He's fronted full bands in the Vancouver scene, hosted more open mics than he can probably count, and now brings all of that experience into smaller, more intimate rooms exactly like ours. His original songs are the kind of heartfelt that stays with you long after the last note, and his covers? Somehow he makes every single one feel like his own.

Thursday, September 17th. 6 to 8 PM. No cover.

Grab a table, grab a pint, and come let this guy do his thing. You do not want to miss this one.

Two Thursdays. Two incredible acts. Zero cover charge.

First up, September 17th is Thirsty Third Thursday featuring Michael Carson, a solo acoustic artist with over 30 years on stage and a voice that can shift into pretty much any genre you throw at him. He's played full bands in the Vancouver scene, hosted countless open mics, and now brings that same energy into smaller, intimate rooms. His originals are the kind of heartfelt that sticks with you long after the last song.

Then on September 24th we're bringing in Sean Burns, a Canadian singer-songwriter who's become one of the most respected names in traditional and independent country music. Critics have called him a torchbearer for honky-tonk and old-school country at a time when the genre's mainstream sound barely resembles the real thing, blending original songs with well-picked covers into a set built for a room that wants something a little more authentic.

Both nights run 6 to 8 PM, no cover, just good music, good beer, and a warm room to settle into.

Come early to grab a table, stay late for the encore.
