I am deeply saddened to hear this news tonight.
There would not be a Kitchener-Waterloo Dixieland Jazz Club without Mike Kelly!
I met Mike when he was the owner of the Lancaster in 2003, when I went see the jazz bands on Saturday afternoons. He was a very warm and fun man to be around. He could tell a great story and he had many great stories to share!
Mike always wanted the people around him to have a good time. He loved music and did all he could to facilitate live music, particularly Dixieland jazz
He was one of the good ones! Have a sip.
