As summer begins to wind down, our team is preparing to send a special member of our team off onto his next adventure - our Chef, Jaymz Harker.

Although his roots in our space go back much further, Jaymz has been back leading our kitchen since July of 2024. Over these last 2 years, he has poured an endless amount of creativity and heart into every dish, every menu and our culinary program as a whole. Jaymz has undoubtedly left a legacy within our space, and has worked tirelessly to create an incredible foundation for both of our next chapters.

Jaymz - thank you for sharing your talent, commitment and creativity with us. We’re so grateful + proud of everything you’ve accomplished. You’ll always be a part of the micro family, and the bones of everything we’ve built.

You can still catch Jaymz in the kitchen over the next 2 weeks, as we both transition into all of the exciting changes that are coming next. We hope you’ll stop in, show him all the love + join us in wishing him the absolute best in his next chapter.

This summer marks 5 years since Caleb joined our team at micro.

An insanely talented musician, and a creative powerhouse - Caleb is a man who wears many hats, and is known by many names. Since 2021, he’s been a key part of bringing all the magic of our space to life, behind the bar + behind the scenes.

From long-time regular to bartender. From building + curating our live music program over the last 4 years, to quietly becoming the creative thread that ties together everything you see. Our menus, our branding, our social media. If it looks good, sounds good, or feels like 𝘶𝘴… Caleb had a hand in it.

Today we raise our glasses to you, Caleb. Our space would look, feel, and sound very different without you. But, we’re so grateful it doesn’t.

Cheers to 5 years, friend! 🍸

Thank YOU for these nominations! Voting for ‘best of Kelowna’ wraps up after this weekend, but we’re honoured that you thought of our cozy little bar for - not one - but four nominations!

If any of y’all agree that we have the best happy hour in town, cast a vote for us! Or perhaps ‘best mocktails’, maybe even ‘best place to take a date’? That’s all up to you - we’re just happy you thought of us! ✨

Oh, and one more thing: our friend and owner/operator Kaidi was nominated for ‘best entrepreneur under 40’, and - this is bartender Caleb talking - I will have to ask forgiveness for drawing attention to this nomination… but we all know she deserves it, and here at micro, she’s got our vote.

Kelowna, thank YOU for embracing our space and choosing to make yourself at home at micro these past eleven years. We’ll see you soon!
