Saturday! What. A. Day. 😎☀️

We started the morning with Captain Thunderpants, an intergalactic space pirate from the planet Funkathon who somehow managed to get a whole bunch kids (and many adults) laughing, dancing and moving in the kids tent.

Then it was time for Warrior Women, who have become such a special part of opening our festival. Their powerful music, drumming and storytelling brought such a beautiful energy to the stage.

Next up, The Ducks! Teen rockers from Canmore, who absolutely blew us away. These young musicians brought some SERIOUS talent to the festival, and we have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more from them.

Our own Northbound Train kept things rolling with their original tunes and reworked traditionals.

And then came Mama’s Broke. What a way to close out the daytime stage with a whole lot of raw energy.

And because MUSIC wasn't enough for one day… we also had Zumba, yoga, bouncy castles, kids programming and more keeping everyone busy from morning to afternoon.

Woah. THAT was a Friday night!

BrassTactics were with us from start to finish.
Leading our parade to kick off the weekend, bringing the energy with their set, and then shutting it down at our after party at the The Atha-B !

Local artist Matthew William Cushing made us all feel a little closer to home with his heartfelt performance.

Sweet Alibi brought their rich harmonies and unmistakable sound that had us soaking up every moment.

The raw, blues-soaked sound of TheHarpoonist&TheAxeMurderer filled the night with grit and soul, while their energy kept the crowd on their feet.

Headliner Allison Russell blew us all away with her powerful, soulful vocals and radiant energy, she had the whole crowd completely captivated.

Friday, you set the bar HIGH!
