Heading to Cape Scott, to check out 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, or maybe 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘆? Once you reach Holberg, you are so close!

From here, the pavement is long gone, the cell service is questionable, the trees get bigger, and the adventure really begins.

If Cape Scott is your destination, make 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽. Fuel up with a hearty meal before you head out, grab a cold drink when you make it back, and book one of our 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝘀 when you're ready for a hot shower and a comfortable place to sleep.

Cape Scott might be the destination, but Holberg is part of the adventure.

The Scarlet Ibis Restaurant & Cabin Rentals: Know Before You Go! 🚙🌲

Heading to the North Island? Welcome to the wild side of Vancouver Island, where the scenery is incredible, the adventures are unforgettable... and your cell service may decide it’s taking the day off. 😂

A few things to know before you go:
🌧️ Expect rain. Even when you weren’t expecting rain.
📵 Cell service is limited, so download your maps ahead of time.
⛽ Fill up your tank and bring the essentials.
🚗 Turn your lights on when travelling logging roads.
🪵 Logging trucks have the right of way. Give them LOTS of room.
🐻 Respect the wildlife and leave nature the way you found it.
🗑️ Pack it in, pack it out.
🛑 Pay attention to signs, gates and road conditions.

And perhaps most importantly... come prepared for a real adventure. The North Island isn't polished, predictable or always connected. That's exactly why we love it.

Once you make it to Holberg, stop in at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝘀 for a meal, a cold drink and some good old-fashioned civilization. 🍔🍺
