Spooky night of Sinister Surf music...

The ReefKings deliver high-energy instrumental surf rock with style, precision, and a healthy dose of reverb.

The band features guitarists Neil Ross and Brian Duguay, bassist John Dehaas, organist Chris Dobson, and drummer Isin Thomson. Collectively, the band's members have performed for decades in some of the GTA's best-loved independent bands, including The Heimlich Manuever, Blank Expression, Loomer, The Saddletramps and Cottage Industry.

Drawing inspiration from classic bands like The Shadows or legendary guitarist Link Wray, The ReefKings also embrace the modern craft and energy of newer bands like Man or Astroman? and Polaris!

Original ReefKings songs are dynamic, melody-driven titles such as "Wahoo in Oahu", "Isla Mujeres", "Doctor Surf" and "Lost Mile Road". Each song is a story and there are always fascinating twists and turns.

Years of experience, tight musicianship, and a geniune love of the genre make The ReefKings an experience not to be missed.

Hello Burlington and surrounding area, we post today to announce our partnership with Hamilton-based live music programmers 🤘

The Block Co. (& live space, formerly The Edison Room) is excited to be joining the family. And we look forward to the music that will come to our stage.

Through this partnership, expect a variety of entertainment from cover bands, original acts and DJs, both from the local scene and beyond.

Join Christopher Clause and his star-studded cast of Hamilton musicians as they pay tribute to John Lennon on the 86th anniversary of his birth. The fabulous backing band features Christopher on guitar as well as Chris Jamieson on bass, Michael Scott on drums and Duncan Graham on guitar. This is the first full band show Christopher has done in Hamilton in over 3 years and long overdue. If you remember the Beatles' tributes at James Street, the Casbah and the Pearl Company then you know what to expect.

Tickets: $20 online or at the door (if still available)

Entrance to Oxigin is on Hughson Street - think the building of the old Pepper Jack Cafe) and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

It is an all ages event.

Ronley Teper & The Lipliners with special guest each month 4th Monday of each month at The Gate. 

Ronley Teper has been a fixture in the experimental singer/songwriter arts scene for almost two decades, Teper is most known for her multimedia genre-blending unabashed, experimental live performances. Alongside The Lipliners, a collective of some of the finest local and international improvisors, unpredictability is a fixture of her ethos. A mix of original compositions with experimental folk, singer/songwriter, jazz, funk, orchestral pop, post rock, punk, cabaret, blues, puppets, visuals, every tool in the kit is used to craft whimsical, surreal, and engaging contemporary art through music. It’s an approach free of inhibition that hearkens to the experimenter’s like Zappa and Waits.

“Her hilarious lyrics are paired with theatrical vocal delivery, ranging from her high, squeaky, little-girl voice to a low throaty growl. It’s territory not commonly explored by female singers”  – Exclaim Magazine

David Celia is an independent singer-songwriter based in Toronto Ontario, who has built an audience across Canada and in Europe. He tours regularly since 2005.
