2024 is going to be an amazing year as Lemon Bar continues to grow and do our part to help the community. So the story goes…
We have decided to team up with Food4kids Hamilton beginning of 2024, and have crafted a unique special drink, where the ingredients tell a neat story but also highlight the essence of Food4kids.
One day, Lemon Bar decided to visit Food4kids Hamilton and meet with Cathy, the executive director. What we learned was that Cathy, being so down to earth, has been such a blessing to the City of Hamilton and the children’s community.
So, I shared with Cathy the reasons as to why I would pick Food4kids as my charity partner because it hits close to home. We have such a soft spot for children’s ministry.
So, after careful consideration, we decided to craft a special drink made with the following essential ingredients:
Watermelon - this fruit was selected because it is the logo for Food4kids. This is also brilliant because not many drinks out there utilize watermelon.
Kiwi - Cathy mentioned that Kiwi was the most requested and favourite fruit of the children.
Strawberry - Cathy’s favourite fruit that adds a bit of sweet personality to the drink
Cucumber - Lemon Bar’s personal favourite because cucumber has a refreshing effect on your body and elevates the other ingredients at the same time.
Altogether, we crafted an artisan mocktail:
“watermelon refresher”
This drink was approved by Cathy and will be permanently on our menu so, any proceeds from this drink will be donated towards helping feed the children of Hamilton.
