As we prepare for our 40th Anniversary Festival, we've made a few thoughtful adjustments to help ensure the strongest possible experience for our audiences, artists, students, staff, and volunteers.
In 2026, programming previously presented in Hydrostone Park will be consolidated into other festival venues and stages throughout the city. This adjustment allows us to focus our resources and staffing capacity while continuing to deliver the vibrant festival experience our community has come to expect.
We're also pleased to share that the Creative Music Workshop will continue in 2026 under the stewardship of 1313 Music Association. As a long-time partner and operator of the program, 1313 is well positioned to manage this valuable educational experience for musicians.
What isn't changing:
💚 More than 70 hours of free music and programming throughout festival week
💚 Free programming remains a core part of our festival
💚 All contracted artists remain part of the festival.
💚 Opportunities for audiences to discover local and national international artists
💚 Our commitment to music education and artist development
💚 Our excitement for celebrating 40 years with our community in July 2026
These decisions were made to ensure the TD Halifax Jazz Festival can continue delivering accessible music experiences to our community!
