Eric & Marcello,

I don’t usually write captions directly to the people behind the businesses I feature, but this one felt different.

The first time I met Eric was at the ASAP Socials event, before Dando had even opened. You introduced me to my very first oyster, and I don’t think that’s something you ever forget.

Fast forward to this visit, and not only did you guys welcome me back, you welcomed the seven people I brought with me like we’d been coming for years.

You didn’t just serve us incredible food and cocktails.

You made us feel like we belonged.

Before we even arrived, you had a birthday ch*****ne toast waiting for our table. It wasn’t expected, it certainly wasn’t necessary, but it spoke volumes about the kind of people you are.

When I asked you about Dando, you could have talked about the menu, the oysters or the cocktails.

Instead, you talked about coming home. About building something for Sudbury. About creating a community within your community. That tells me everything I need to know.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that family isn’t always the one you’re born into.

Sometimes it’s the people who make you feel seen, welcomed and at home.

Thank you for making us feel that way.

Thank you for sharing your story.

And thank you for creating a place that brings people together.

🙏🏻Our recent events have gone so well that we’ve decided to throw the biggest parties at Dando Parlour thus far!

☝🏻Choose either Friday night or Saturday night

🦪We will be serving a 6 course tasting menu of some of our favourite dishes.(Plenty of options even if you don’t like oysters)

🥂You will be served complimentary Prosecco upon arrival.

🍽️Food will be served throughout the night by our amazing servers.

🍸Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar.

🎶We will have live entertainment all night.

😁And we are only welcoming 60 of you beautiful people in.
