After 24 years, where does one start?
How do you say “thank you”enough to the ones that made you successful?
I couldn’t possibly name all the ones included on that list!
The town, the locals, the strangers, the excellent staff, the past, the present……the list is long…..
But I will start by saying this village has changed me. Strengthened me. Taught me multiple lessons. And made me a better person, and for that I am truly grateful…
The Riverbend Pizzeria has come to an end….I know, I know…..sad really. So many memories…..
Even more memories as Riverbend Bar & Grill. My mother Doreen took this little pub and ran it for 15 years. Worked hard and got involved with the community. Supported all other businesses, bought and used local products….she did it all!
Dart leagues, winter carnivals Riverbend Olympics ,snow carvings, garbage clean ups, Golf tournaments, Nascar, football, Karaoke, homemade food and awards for best chili and best stew in town. All the late nights of dancing and singing and keeping alive what was built before her. The history of Riverbend is lengthy and many remember it’s beginning. If it wasn’t for the local community, it would have never been as successful. This community of Grandbend was amazing to our family and our ideas! The support and devotion will forever hold a dear spot in our hearts ♥️
Donny and I are thanking everybody that has helped with our success. Changing the bar into a pizzeria was no small feat. Menu, decor, hours and saying goodbye to past events and starting anew. It was a new venture. And it worked! People stayed and supported us and the product speaks for itself. It is great pizza….and we will miss eating it🤤
We even won Best Pizza in Grandbend, two years in a row!
With the birth of our son Jaxon, our world and focus changed to help his future. New charities were held and once again the support from the community humbled us.
Now that our son has grown, there are new things we need to introduce to him to. Things to help with his growth and his future. Even though he’s the master at folding pizza boxes😉
Everything about the Riverbend will be missed by us and by so many others. The memories we will hold dear for years to come.
Thank you to everyone past and present that has been part of the Riverbend team.
