I have received some emails regarding some bu****it politics and, without even giving them credence, I am here to reintroduce ourselves.

My name is Stacy. I am of Shishalh, Stawamus, Lilwat, Komox, Snuneymuxw, Swedish and Scottish heritage on my Mom's side. Irish and English on my Dad's.

Chef Kit is a mix of Settler and Indigenous Australian heritage.

We are having a dinner party.

All the time.

We will serve you amazing food and drinks. We will joke and laugh.

The number one rule in social situations is NO POLITICS. NO RELIGION.

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

I don't have any "today" photos of The Pink House Bistro as I am home "resting" (aka just working in a different place).

One year ago today we picked up the keys to this new adventure. And what a year it has been...

I've learned how to run a business (ish). Met so many new friends in our little "dinner party". Received, humbly, a lot of great reviews and now have been nominated for a few Sunshine Coast People's Choice awards.

Personally, I have lost my Mom, her partner Ernie, and my Grandpa and also was a part of the most beautiful wedding (my sister and her love).

Without rambling on, it's been a year of a LOT of extreme highs and lows.

Bring it on Year 2!!!

Hi Fam!

We just found out (and are super humbled) that we are nominated in the Sunshine Coast PEOPLE"S CHOICE AWARD for Food & Drink!!! Twice even!!

Best fine dining AND Vegan/Vegetarian.

Here we are just trying to have a super fun 'Dinner Party'.

Chef Kit puts out the fabulous food, I bring it to you and you eat it. Maybe you have a great cocktail. Maybe you have some nice wine. Maybe you don't drink and trust me to feel into a 'faux-tail' for you. We are only here to have a good time.. And then as (maybe?) a bonus, you get some of my stories and unhinged personality.

Wait. What am I saying? You will always get my unhinged personality...

My new favorite people. Rena and Scott popped in for dinner. I give them "me" (which is what I do with everyone and then gauge the vibe). They immediately got me.

They bought a bottle of Laughing Stock 'Blind Trust' (effing LOVE this wine) and said to me "we haven't seen this on a wine list since we were in Blind Channel! And I'm like 'Omg! I worked in Blind Channel!'

So we took some pictures of us and sent them to Eliot (of Blind Channel fame) and this is my unhinged story of the day...

What a wonderful couple. We are now best friends. 😜

This is Cow. I bought cow for my niece Marley May when she was a baby. Cow is her favorite. We all conglomerated at the Sunshine Marina for sisters wedding on the 18th and poor Marley lost Cow in the shenanigans. Luckily Zeb found cow and Auntie Stacy did part one of "Operation g*t Cow back to Marley". Now Cow is chilling with Auntie and going on adventurez until I fly to the Island to reunite them...

We are almost at the one year anniversary of taking on this fun, challenging, core-strengrh building, amazing passion project.

Y'all.

The summer version of our filet is absolutely (I think?) my new favorite. Well... It may be a two way tie.

Filet mignon, garlic hot honey prawns, asparagus, crispy prosciutto, sweet potato puree, chimichurri.

I am not often at a lack of words but I guess this is where we live now. 🫪

It has recently been brought to my attention that we just might be the only gluten friendly kitchen on the Sunshine Coast. Is this true?
