Located at 361 Smythe St in Fredericton, NB. The Capital Exhibit Centre (NBEX) is located at 361 Smythe Street in the heart of downtown Fredericton and provides facilities for the agriculture and event industry. It's also the home of the New Brunswick Provincial Exhibition--Atlantic Canada's largest agricultural fair! NBEX showcases everything from local events and trade shows to live entertainment from all over the world including but not limited to Provincial livestock shows and regional 4-H activities. The primary goal of NBEX is to accommodate agriculture events and shows on a year round basis. At NBEX, we are a small but dedicated team of seven. As a non-profit organization with deep agricultural roots, we take pride in giving back to our community through the proceeds of our events. We ask that all interactions with our team and platforms remain respectful. Profanity, bullying, negative comments, or inappropriate direct messages will not be tolerated. Such messages will be deleted without response, and the sender will be blocked. Fun Fact: The New Brunswick Provincial Exhibition owes its origin to the enthusiasm of Sir Howard Douglas. As Governor of New Brunswick from 1824 to 1831, he proved himself one of the best administrators of the Colonial period. He did much to encourage road building, agriculture and education. He also promoted New Brunswick's first exhibition!
