The weather should improve and the races are a go!
This night has so much more meaning and emotions involved than just a night of racing. Alisha Mann has been one of my nearest and dearest friends since high school. Many memories from jazz band trips to relationship drama, kids and adulthood. Another good friend said it best when she said Alisha is the kind of friend that you call in the middle of the night and say "get the shovel" and she wouldn't ask any questions. This is our "grab the shovel" moment, and a very small way we can help her out in her family's time of need.
The other reason is having the track recognize first responders tonight. My daughter is just about finished her P*P course and will be a rolling paramedic soon. I appreciate the track putting attention on the work all first responders do.
Cheers to a safe and fun night of racing and a fun night of socializing with live music and a super cute bar after.
