Event of the Day: MOI Edmonton Grand Opening

West Edmonton Mall has spent decades convincing people to ride indoor roller coasters, surf indoors, and occasionally lose all sense of direction in Phase IV. A Museum of Illusions somehow feels perfectly on-brand.

MOI Edmonton officially opens todayat West Edmonton Mall, bringing optical illusions, perspective rooms, immersive exhibits, and brain-bending installations to the city. The attraction is part of the international Museum of Illusions franchise and marks its first Alberta location.

The space is designed to be interactive rather than “look but don’t touch,” with exhibits focused on visual tricks, perception, and the strange ways human brains process space and movement. In other words: an ideal activity for anyone who has ever walked into WEM intending to buy socks and emerged four hours later holding a bubble tea and existential confusion.
