At Slice of Life, we don’t believe in serving drinks exactly the way the rest of the world does.
We believe in the friction between a classic structure and a modern touch. Take the Negroni—a drink that has famously turned away more first-time drinkers than any other.
But there is a point where the bitterness shifts, where the botanicals of a carefully selected Ramsbury gin ( ) begin to sing, and the drink suddenly makes sense.
We see this every night behind our bar: the moment a guest stops just ‘drinking’ and starts ‘experiencing.’

It only takes one sip.

We often think we know a flavor until we see it in a new light. This chapter is a gentle reintroduction to the familiar—an exploration of Rhubarb and Apple through two very different lenses.

The French 75 is our study in effervescence. It’s light and botanical, where the floral lift of Gin and Cocchi Rosa meets a crisp rhubarb-apple cider and a breath of rose water. It is the bright, airy side of the orchard.

The Cosmo offers the counter-perspective—a centered, orchard-forward depth. By swapping citrus for the sharp acidity of verjus and layering in Calvados with our rhubarb cordial, we’ve created a version that is crisp, weighted, and deeply concentrated.
