Locally owned & operated, Church St. Taphouse is a cornerstone of downtown Comox. We are seeking an experienced leader to champion our mission as the community gathering place,
build upon our commitment to customer service excellence, and ensure a fun, high-energy environment every shift.
This is a unique, full-time permanent position (approx. 35 hours a week) with a focus on supporting and leading the Front of House (FOH) team at Church St. Taphouse. You will manage, mentor, train, and onboard our talented FOH staff (hosts and servers). With almost 25 FOH staff, this is a busy, challenging, and rewarding role. We also own RAD Brewing just down the street, and have staff reciprocal benefits there too!
What You Bring
🍺Experience: 2+ years of leadership in a high-volume taphouse or restaurant environment.
🍺Knowledge: A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service excellence. Ability to educate guests on our 20+ rotating taps, BC wines, and spirits and food program
🍺Certifications: Valid Serving It Right
🍺The "X-Factor": A calm-under-pressure personality. You can handle a line-up out the door and a keg blowing mid-rush without losing your smile.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
🍷$26 per hour
🍷Part of manager tip out for all floor hours worked (approx $3-$5/hour)
🍷Bonus Program: Up to $300/month based on average guest cheque metrics, other
🍷Potential for 2 - 4 serving shifts per month as well.
