Warmest gratitude, Cold Lake, for another unforgettable summer season. Because of your incredible support, our lakeside restaurant was filled with laughter, our glasses with curated cocktails, and our hearts with wonderful memories.

To give our dedicated team a well-deserved rest after a bustling summer, The Casual Canoe will be temporarily closing for our annual seasonal break starting Monday, September 7th. We will happily invite you back on Thursday, September 24th with revised hours operating Thursday through Sunday weekly.
We are so grateful for your grace and understanding as our hardworking crew takes this time to recharge.

Our French-style beef tartare begins with Northern Gold Alberta AAA beef tenderloin, hand-cut fresh in-house and prepared in the traditional style. Finished with house-pickled cabbage, cured egg yolk, fresh chives, and served with toasted crostinis.

Paired with our Smoked Bourbon, this is a dish that celebrates simple ingredients, careful preparation, and bold flavour.
