I’ve been working very hard the last two weeks having to play my aces…..(making Chinese Food).

It’s so much work that every time I do it, I remember why I don’t want to do it all the time. But when I do, I’m always proud to be a Koe girl.

It’s been pretty tough trying to compete with the franchises, but everybody assures me the people will all come back, and hopefully they are right!

I would like to say thank you to all the good people who came through my doors. I had a lot of people who came for dinner for the first time, and one guy actually admitted that he was heading to the new franchise but it was so busy that he decided not to. (Lucky for me! 😁)

Thank you to the wonderful people from Three HFurniture who brought me a nice little group for dinner, and to the great guys from Stacked Pancake House for coming to wind down and shoot some pool. Local businesses supporting other local businesses (when I really needed it!) It is always a pleasure to host you.

I’m taking this weekend off for a personal obligation, but hopefully that will give people time to miss me! 😅
I must say, I feel like I’m gonna have karaoke withdrawals. It’s my weekly therapeutic reset and I always see people that make me laugh and make me smile! Even if you don’t miss me; I’ll miss you!

If you didn’t show up for the pub quiz or for karaoke this week; personally, I think you missed out!
We had great fun, and there were a lot of new faces, which is always something for me to celebrate.

Thank you to everybody who came in to support my little tavern this week. It is always tough for independent operators when these big franchises move into the area and dominate, so I am especially grateful to the people who made their way in and showed some love for the tavern.

We’re closed next weekend, so there will be no karaoke.
I’ll be open on Wednesday & Thursday as usual.
You can still stop by for a meal and shoot some pool, and listen to your favourite tunes.
As you know, I’m happy to play your songs for you- but I’m probably not going to put your hour long playlists on. I love you all, but everyone likes to hear a song they know, (including me!)

Speaking of songs we know- ALMOST BON JOVI is less than 2 weeks away, and it’s gonna be special! We’ve got a full band set up and your favourite 80’s & 90’s tunes in-between sets. Tickets are $15 + fees online or $25 cash at the door; so save yourself some money and buy your tickets in advance. I’m working on some signature drinks for the night, and the guys are excited to bring a little “New Jersey flair” to the Cobalt Miner’s Tavern.
