STEP RIGHT UP — WE MADE THE LIST!!

We’re pretty thrilled to share that Slaymaker & Nichols has been named to Canada’s 100 Best Recommends list for Atlantic Canada.

This new category from Canada’s 100 Best highlights restaurants across the country that may not fall under the traditional fine-dining “Top 100” list, but are still delivering memorable, delicious, character-filled dining experiences.

And honestly, that feels pretty perfect for us.

A huge thank you to our team, our guests, and everyone who has helped make this little circus-inspired gastropub what it is.

Come for the tagine pot pie, ribs & mac, chicken aji verde, local seafood, inventive cocktails — and maybe stay the night while you’re at it.

We’re honoured to be included.

We are still serving the HiPisco Sour for a limited time so if you didn’t get a chance to try it yet get in here when you can.

The Slaymaker act of choice?
The HiPisco Sour

First—what the heck is Pisco?
Pisco is a South American grape brandy from Chile & Peru. Bright. Floral. Smooth.
Built for sours and questionable decisions.
No oak. No shortcuts. Pure performance.

Did we have Pisco?
No sir, we did not.
So we pulled a little alchemy behind the curtain.

We took Deep Roots High Tide Moonshine and transformed it by:
• Infusing white grape peels, pear peels, lemon peels & chamomile
• Fat-washing with sunflower oil to smooth the edges
• Infusing hibiscus flower because spectacle matters—and pink sells tickets

Then we turned it into a sour:
Egg white foam • fresh lime • a kiss of orange liqueur
A perfectly balanced tightrope walk between sweet and sharp.

The next best thing to Chile… without the airfare.
