🍺 DOUBLE RELEASE TODAY: Two Very Good Reasons to Get to Stalwart

We’ve got a little more than our usual cask release happening today. Dr. Feelgood is hitting the beer engine AND Zigzagger is officially back.

First up, today’s cask is Dr. Feelgood – IPA (6.8% ABV), conditioned in cask and dry hopped with Simcoe and Mosaic.

This is a seriously good hop combination for Dr. Feelgood. Simcoe brings its classic piney, resinous and citrus character with a little dankness underneath, while Mosaic layers in mango, citrus, berry and tropical fruit. On cask, all of that big hop aroma meets the soft natural carbonation and silky texture of the beer engine. Bold, aromatic and drinking beautifully.

But that’s only reason #1 to come see us today.

Reason #2: ZIGZAGGER IS BACK. ❤️🍺

Our Zigzagger Red IPA (7% ABV) only makes an appearance once or twice a year, and today is release day.

It’s a wonderfully unique IPA with a beautiful ruby-red colour, a solid malt body and enough bitterness to stand up to it. Simcoe leads the way with loads of pine, resin and herbal character, along with hints of darker berry. A touch of roasted barley gives Zigzagger its distinctive colour and adds another layer to a beer you just don’t see very often.

So, two releases. One day.

A fresh Simcoe + Mosaic Dr. Feelgood cask on the engine and the return of Zigzagger for the first time in a long while. Not a bad excuse to stop by Stalwart today.

As always, the Dr. Feelgood cask is poured from our genuine hand-pumped beer engine, and it’s one of the only true cask beers you’ll find in the valley. There’s only one cask, and they rarely last more than 24 hours.

And Zigzagger won’t be around forever either.

Come get both while you can. 🍻

We know. It’s September. Someone saw one yellow leaf and suddenly everyone’s talking about sweaters and pumpkin spice.

Relax. Summer isn’t over yet.

And we’ve still got Taco Night.

Join us this Thursday, September 3rd for one more late-summer Thursday of tacos, pints, good people, and hopefully a beautiful evening on the patio.

🌾 Cask On Today: Down by the River. Galaxy + Mosaic 🍺

We’ve got a fresh cask pouring today, and this is one of those hop combinations that just works.

It’s Down by the River – American Wheat Ale (5.3% ABV), conditioned in cask and dry hopped with Galaxy and Mosaic.

Galaxy brings a big hit of passionfruit, peach, and bright tropical citrus, while Mosaic layers in mango, citrus, berry, and a little touch of pine. Together, they give this cask a huge, fresh hop aroma while still letting that soft wheat character underneath do its thing.

On cask, Down by the River drinks ridiculously smooth. Soft natural carbonation, a silky texture, loads of fresh hop aroma, and an easy-drinking finish that makes the next pint a pretty easy decision.

As always, this one is poured from our genuine hand-pumped beer engine, and it’s one of the only true cask beers you’ll find in the valley. We only have one cask, and they rarely last more than 24 hours.

Every other Thursday, our little corner of Downtown Carleton Place fills up with people eating an unreasonable number of tacos, having a few drinks, and generally having a pretty damn good Thursday.

💊 Cask Alert: Dr. Feelgood Gets a Boatload of Galaxy & Mosaic 🍺

We’ve got a fresh cask pouring today, and we did not hold back on the hops.

It’s Dr. Feelgood – IPA (6.8% ABV), conditioned in cask and dry hopped with a boatload of Galaxy and Mosaic.

Galaxy brings a huge hit of passionfruit, peach, and bright tropical citrus, while Mosaic piles on mango, citrus, berry, and a little touch of pine. Together, they give Dr. Feelgood a massive aromatic punch before you even take the first sip.

On cask, it’s drinking ridiculously well. All that bright hop aroma meets the soft natural carbonation and silky texture of cask-conditioned beer, rounding everything out while still letting that classic Dr. Feelgood IPA character shine through.

As always, this one is poured from our genuine hand-pumped beer engine, and it’s one of the only true cask beers you’ll find in the valley. We only have one cask, and they rarely last more than 24 hours.

If you like Dr. Feelgood, Galaxy, Mosaic, or just really good beer, you probably don’t want to sleep on this one.

We actually have a few open tables for Pints Against Humanity this Thursday.

If you've been seeing our posts, hearing about it, or telling yourself "we should try that sometime," this is your fu***ng sometime.

Pints Against Humanity is our once-a-month Cards Against Humanity style game night. Grab a team of 2–4, bring a good (bad) sense of humour, and we'll take care of the rest. Never played before? Doesn't matter. We'll show you how.

$25 per person includes:
• A pint of anything on tap
• Snacks, including savoury hand pies from

• A couple hours of questionable entertainment
• Prizes for the top teams
