Artist spotlight #3 Ryan Ruckus Yard Recordings One Sound Canada Loaded Brands

Ryan Ruckus is back in the Jungle and more driven than ever, with 2024 setting the stage for
what’s shaping up to be a monumental 2025. Fresh off the One Sound Canada Tour’s game-
changing debut, Ruckus is gearing up for a coast-to-coast tour that will have DnB fans buzzing
across the country. With a relentless drive to put Canadian talent at the forefront, he’s pushing
the limits of what’s possible and elevating the country’s DnB scene to a whole new height.
However, the evolution doesn’t stop there. 2025 will mark the launch of Ruckus’ new
independent music project, Yard Recordings. With a powerful roster of elite Canadian
producers—led by the unstoppable RMS, Dungeon Kru, Symbiant, Hungry T, Dubschool, and
Bear Demz—alongside iconic vocalists like MC Fearless, MC Flipside, and 2x King of the Dot
champion Arcane, Yard Recordings is set to redefine the Canadian DnB landscape. The first
wave of releases kicks off on February 21st, with an extensive catalogue planned through 2026,
making this just the beginning of what’s to come.
Ryan Ruckus is creating a legacy, one move at a time, while putting Canadian Drum and Bass at
the forefront of the global stage.

Artist spotlight #2 GorillaFist

Gorilla, the Canadian beat ape, started producing tunes way back in the 90’s with an Atari
computer and hardware synths . He had some success with house and techno releases on
European, US and Canadian labels. He took a break during the early 2000’s but was soon
intrigued by the awesome power of the new DAWs with plug-ins and almost limitless
possibility.
He started off by figuring out modern production by making techno but he always had his
eyes, and ears, on DnB… his true passion.
Now he’s focused his attention on making energetic DnB tunes, some that are straight up
Jump Up, some that blend in Neuro elements. He’s inspired by the fresh new wave of DnB
that’s had a rising tide in the last few years as well as classic older tracks.
A busy man in the lab, GorillaFist has had his music released on Yard (CAN), Brainrave
(UK), OTD(UK) Urban Hell (US) and Dream Killer (CAN) and In Da Jungle (CAN). Now he’s
excited to bring his favourite tunes to the people by slapping his USB into the CDJ and
spinning some dancefloor destroyers.
