Just mixed Jack Daniels and Blackberries. Great combination. I used a a blackberry purée but muddling works. Try with lemonade or my fav, Ginger Beer!!

Want to increase the life span of your mint?

Take whatever mint you have left over or kicking around and turn it into a 'Mint Infused Simple Syrup.'

Boil 1 cup of water, add 1 cup of sugar and keep at a boil for 5 minutes, add all your mint while taking it off the heat and let sit until cool. Put it in a refrigerator over night and there you have it.

Use it for mojitos or for my favorite, the Kentucky Derby Mint Julep.

1 oz of your favorite Kentucky Burbon
1 oz of your homemade Mint Infused Simple Syrup
Stir on ice and enjoy!!
