The Establishment is a brewery & taproom with world-class & highly drinkable beers brewed in . The Establishment Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom located in Calgaryโ€™s Manchester Brewing District - an area perfect for brewery-hopping and was recently named Canadian Brewery of the Year for 2021 at the Canadian Brewing Awards and Alberta Brewery of the Year for 2021 at the Alberta Beer Awards. We are a band of friends and beer fanatics, united by one common goal: the proliferation of friendship through sharing stories and music over a beer. The taproom has a warm welcoming vibe with good tunes, house plants and beer snacks, surrounded by barrels that hold a variety of wild and sour beer creations that can take anywhere from three months to three years to mature. We brew flavourful and highly drinkable beers, from barrel-aged sours to hop-forward ales, European lagers, and everything in between.

We strive to create a welcoming space where people can share some serious b**rs with not-so-serious people, and our taproom servers are a huge part of that. We are looking for crew members who are as stoked as we are about great customer service and great local craft b**r. The ideal candidate is hardworking, energetic, friendly, motivated, and a self-starter.ย 

Must be 18 years of age or older, have previous serving experience, be available to work evenings and weekends (including Sundays,) and have valid ProServe Certification.

Bread Water is made up of husband and wife team Blake Enemark and Alexa Gilker, brewing one single b**r style - a Czech-inspired l***r. They are going beyond the brewhouse to work with local farmers growing single-origin Alberta barley, and local maltsters who use traditional floor-malting methods. They call it Landbier L***r, and it's a terroir-driven b**r, meant to taste like the land it comes from. It's Alberta in a mug. It's Bread Water.ย

WC Pils is another style we love to riff on because there are literally endless possibilities with endless hop combos! Teaming up with our Aussie mega homie Jared, we trialed nine different dry-hop blends until we ended at the deadly combo of Strata and our hand-selected Mosaic. This brew pops with fresh strawberry, cherry, and candy, with subtle floral notes, and a hint of pine. Itโ€™s everything you want from a WC Pils - light, crisp, refreshing, snappy af, and at under five, you can have a few without worrying about them sea legs.

Our annual collab with ultra-pals at Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. is back, and of course, we went the distance with our shared love of a few small b**rs. Crafting a low-ABV hazy ain't easy, which meant we dug deep with some amazing next-level hop tech. Mosaic Cryo and Citra Quantum, in addition to Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka gave us maximum flavour without the usual hefty percentage. Fresh-picked white peaches and luscious cake batter ripples through our signature silky-smooth finish.ย Itโ€™s all the decadence you expect, zero compromise.

We fly the flag year round, but this year we were especially proud to have teamed up with the incomparable crew at The Cabaret Company to brew the first ever Trans Day of Visibility b**r in Canada - Je Tโ€™Adore -ย  in support of Trans Action Alberta

We raised $1800 between the b**r and our film night showing Trans Canada (available to watch on CBC Gem!) with our tap partners at Dickens Calgary and The Next Act raising several hundred more on top of that as well. Since 2023, weโ€™ve raised over $6000 for organizations like Trans Action AB,ย Skipping Stone and The Center for Sexuality.

Itโ€™s more important than ever to support our Trans & Q***r family and community, so this Pride please consider donating to the many amazing organizations providing vital services across Alberta.

Considering weโ€™ve been naming our b**rs after songs for nearly eight years, a local band collab feels a bit overdue, eh? And for our first, who better to team up with than our house band, and all-around mega cool dudes, Really Much! Drawing inspiration from our 2025 Tailgunner collabโ€”an old-school pale ale called Random Rulesโ€”we brewed this one with the very same lot of whole leaf Cascade hops that legends Sierra Nevada trust, and that Blake (vocals/guitar) personally hauled back to Calgary from the Pacific Northwest. The result is a modernized and wild pale ale, with juicy orange, citrus and floral notes, all kicked up with a hint of pepper. Itโ€™s mildly tart and supremely crushableโ€”just like every b**r in our Wild Things line.

Mylesโ€™ infatuation with photography began at a young age while thumbing through zines like Maximum Rocknroll and Thrasher. Always wondering who was behind the lens and how they got such rad shots! That passion has carried with him throughout the years and has helped shape a career shooting everything from live music to landscapes, city streets, products, and more. Ben Merrell is a photographer and collage-artist based in Calgary. Using techniques like infrared film photography, Ben reveals an alien landscape invisible to the naked eye but always lying just below the surface of our perception.

Ryan is a born and raised Calgarian. He was a Journeyman Steamfitter of 15 years by trade but was looking for an alternative path later on in life that aligned with what he truly loves, which is photography. Since this realization a few years ago heโ€™s dedicated all his spare time to taking photos and being around what he loves most - bands, tattoo shops, people, and the streets of Calgary. Photography has allowed him to incorporate all these things but from a different and creative perspective, giving back to our community of artists and people with pictures that showcase who they are and always were. He hopes his pictures and story show that you don't need to put yourself in a box as a photographer, just keep shooting anything and everything. It's the process that counts the most, and if you love that it will show in your pictures.
