Beyond honoured to be included for our fourth year on the 50 best bars list! Thank you beyond words to everyone who helped get us here again. To the staff who absolutely crush it every service and can be counted on, to a person, to put the restaurant on their shoulders when need be, and somehow have fun doing it. And to all the people who keep coming back to let us nerd out, and indulge in our sometimes weird and surprising choices!

Also Congratulations to all the other Calgary bars on the list, we’re stoked to even be in the same conversation as .yyc and again! Places like these make Calgary worth living in!

What if you took the garlicky, old bay spiced potatoes off the table at a seafood boil, and then finished them like you would patatas bravas? Sort of a Spanish/Cajun mash up, what would you even call that? And what beer would you pair with it?

Last Call for The Old Rosti

Only the good die young… due to supply issues with the Fogo Island Cod we use for the Rosti, it’s time to retire one of our longest running favorites. We’d rather retire the dish than offer something lesser and contribute to the ensh*ttification of the world. On the bright side this opens a menu slot for something new and exciting! It’s the circle of life, and I’m sorry you had to hear it this way.

We have some temporarily disappointing news, due to supply line issues well outside of our control, we need to postpone Péché Day at Rain Dog Bar.
We also love this beer and will absolutely do everything we can to make sure that we can get together soon to taste this years round!
Once we are sure we can get the beer to the room, we will come up with another date, and let everyone know as soon as possible.

2 grass fed Alberta beef smash patties, Kraft singles, shredduce, pickles and fancy sauce. Taking the intentionality that we take to everything to a relatively simple burger, making something almost mythic.
