Known for lively German Oom-Pa-Pa, traditional folk favourites, upbeat sing-alongs and Oktoberfest party music, these guys know how to get a beer hall moving.
And they’re not just bringing the music! The Brabec Brothers will be leading the Bavarian games and activities throughout the evening, keeping the competition going, the crowd involved and the Oktoberfest spirit turned all the way up.

A Happy 90th to John Derijk!

Here are a few of the photos from his party at Hard Knox on Saturday - we'd like to thank all of John's friends and family who came by to wish him a happy 90th.

Also a big thanks to WHEELS for the day's music and our staff for making sure that the drinks were full and the rainy day was warm and inviting in the taproom.

Tomorrow we’re celebrating a BIG one at Hard Knox Brewery!
The one and only John Derijk is turning 90, and we’re throwing him a birthday party worthy of the milestone.

If you’ve spent an afternoon at Hard Knox, chances are you’ve seen John’s familiar face around the taproom. His mornings are usually reserved for the golf course, but afternoons are for good company, good conversation and a cold beer.

John is hard to miss, with his brightly coloured wardrobe and the positive nature he brings with him wherever he goes.

Come help us celebrate 90 incredible years tomorrow! WHEELS will be playing live from 2 to 5:30 PM, and it’s going to be a PARTY.

Happy 90th, John! Come raise a glass with us!

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON to KNOXtoberfest 2026!

September 25th & 26th, Join us at Hard Knox Brewery for Knoxtoberfest 2026, a traditional German-style Oktoberfest celebration featuring the release of our Festbier, live music from the Brabec Step Bros and The Opas, plus a DJ to keep the party going all night!
Enjoy classic Oktoberfest fare including schnitzel on a bun, soft pretzels with dip, bratwurst and perogies. Test your strength in the Stein Holding Contest, enjoy VIP bar service, and take advantage of shuttle service so you can celebrate responsibly.

A QUICK PARKING PSA FROM HARD KNOX BREWERY

Cars, horses, motorcycles, we’ve got room for all kinds of horsepower around here!

If you’re arriving by car, please use regular straight parking, not angled parking. You might still see some old angled lines from days gone by, but those are officially retired. Please park between the current lines and leave enough room for your neighbours to get in and out comfortably.

Arriving by motorcycle? Please use the designated motorcycle parking.

Coming by horse? Tie up at the hitching post, and just like any responsible driver, please clean up after your ride.

However you roll into Hard Knox, park with a little consideration for the next person and come on in for a cold one!

From 3 - 7:30pm you can still start with a juicy ¼ lb 100% Alberta beef patty on a fresh brioche bun, then pile on your favourite toppings and sauces. Keep it classic or create something completely over the top. There are no wrong answers when you're building your perfect burger.
