The Gatehouse Pub & General Dealer Who are we? Once upon a time in the settlement of Metlobo there was a fence that separated the farm land, the grazing land & the village.

This fence was built by the local community. The GateHouse (GH) is situated in close proximity to where the main entrance of this fence used to be. This is where we get our special name from, a reminder of the community spirit that existed then. Our Aim
We aim to be the premier location in the southern region and beyond. Our slogan "First Among Equals" sets our goal to be always a step ahead of ot

The rising sun on our logo represents dawn of new day & good fortune. So every day at GH brings new hope. And since we are located on the furthest eastern side of the village; the sun always shines on us first giving us a head start, so that early customer at GH gets best seat & coldest beer. The star confirms that in our pursuit of excellence in service delivery only the sky is the limit.

The GateHouse Closes its Doors
As some of you might be aware, there was a break-in at GH last week Wednesday night where drinks and electronic equipment (Plasma TV, Radio mixer, Laptop, etc.) were stolen. I have therefore decided to shut down GH with immediate effect and concentrate my efforts elsewhere. Until the hooligans who did this are caught and I get these items back, GH will remain fully closed. Please let us help police fight this escalating crime by reporting any suspicious persons/activities because some of these criminals live amongst us. If we don’t fight this petty crime our beloved village will not develop. Remember Together We Can.

GH Management would like to thank the two competing teams Metlobo XI & Tswaaneng XI for the match that was a fitting conclusion to BOT50 celebrations. It was indeed a historical game on a very special day. The game was very entertaining and played with true sportsmanship. But as it’s the norm there can only be one winner. The game finished goalless during normal time and Metlobo XI were crowned champions after penalty kicks. So congratulations to them. Congratulations also to Tswaaneng for the disciplined performance they produced; man of the match (Jersey No. 7) came from this team. Also thanx to those supporters who came in numbers to enjoy the match. Hope we all had fun. See you next time.
