Rock N Roll Cafe

Rock N Roll Cafe This is a page to remember The Rock N Roll Cafe available to everyone who worked, visited and enjoye

Rock N Roll Cafe was established with the primary intention of providing a place where people from all walks of life could visit a comfortable, safe place to eat and drink that dedicated it's entire theme to Rock N Roll Music. The restaurant was decorated with hundreds of gold and platinum albums, autographed pictures and guitars. Locate right on the beach next door to The Nassau Beach Hotel. The building was formerly a 5 star restaurant called Frilsham House, that failed back in 1989. It sat dormant until the Rock N Roll Cafe opened it's doors on July 6th 1991. Rock N Roll Cafe was the brain child of Kurt Melnechuk who dreamed of one day having a Rock themed restaurant and after offering this idea to a few unnamed club owners he finally partnered up with Brian Arahna and the rest was history. The Cafe was famous for it's amazing steaks and large selection of other tasty menu items. It became a hang out for the in crowd, tourists and hundreds of celebrities that could be found dining right next to the regular folks. What name Rock N Roll so good was not only the fact that it was desperately needed in the Bahamas but also the caliber of amazing staff that worked there and later went on to have successful careers of their own. Our staff were the backbone of the company and they not only worked hard, they played hard too. It was the best time of my life and I will always remember it. There was just something very right about Rock N Roll Cafe and had it not been for a devastating hurricane in September of 1999, hurricane Floyd, the place might have stayed open even longer.
