2nd of February 2019 we opened our doors after the intense renovation of our beautiful Stoned Crab Restaurant. It’s been 7 years of work, love, dedication and resilience. We have seen so much in these last seven years- from Hurricane Dorian right after we opened in September to the following worldwide Pandemic. Staff members lost their homes, some lost their life’s. But we never gave up and stand strong today- just like our swings!! Today we not only host the most beautiful weddings, birthday celebrations, engagements, retirement party’s, milestones of businesses like the 60th year celebration of Kelly’s, Containerport or Port Authority Christmas celebrations. We host the great Grand Bahama Children’s home fundraiser event and the Art Lucaya artists come here to paint and celebrate, and we host the most wonderful Freeport Fashion Week- with the opening night runway show.
(Coming up again 20th of March 2026)
We will pick up the great full moon parties and maybe the „Crabby after dark“parties ( although we do know now that the name was quite sketchy- seriously not on purpose) and our Sunday Brunches with live DJ.
Grand Bahama has been giving us so much love- we truly appreciate our amazing guest from home and also our amazing guest from all over the world.
So much love, trust and fun that you bring to us- we are so thankful for every moment you share with us!
Our Stoned Crab Family stands strong and although we sometimes lose members, others return and make sure that we get even better then before. We laugh and cry together and never have a dull moment!! We work all weekends together when everyone else enjoys. That’s what makes us a family- 32 members and growing!!
A big shout out to Mark aka „Mark Machine“ or „Uncle Marc“ as we are not sure he is a human or a machine. Works with a smile always- never a day late or sick- always pleasant and well dressed and groomed- with us from day one and over 70 years old!!
Mark has seen all times here in Freeport- just like the Stoned Crab-and his favorite saying is: „better days coming“
So let’s raise the glasses to even better days ahead! Gods blessings to our beloved island and guest and ! See you at the beach!!
